Hindi Diwas was observed on 14th September 2022. A Hindi Diwas was observed on 14th September 2022. A special assembly was conducted by the students of XII science under the guidance of Hindi Teacher Ms. Dropati. A small write-up was read during the assembly highlighting the importance of Hindi Diwas and a chart was prepared by the students, which was displayed on the notice board.
On 14th September (for 12 Arts) and 21st September On 14th September (for 12 Arts) and 21st September (for 12 Science), students embarked on an exhilarating trek to the Pali Waterfall. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the trek offered a perfect blend of adventure and nature. The students navigated through winding trails, surrounded by scenic landscapes, enjoying fresh air and peaceful sounds of the forest. At the waterfall, the sight of cascading water provided a refreshing break, while students relished the beauty of the natural surroundings. This trek not only boosted their physical endurance but also fostered teamwork and appreciation for nature. It was an unforgettable experience for all involved.
Teachers Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm Teachers Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gratitude at Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School on 5th September 2024. The event aimed at to honour and recognise the tireless efforts of our esteemed teachers. The day began with the Eucharistic Celebration at 8:30 a.m. in Presentation Convent Ambaji. The main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist was Fr. Onasis D’cruz and the theme for the mass was “To serve and not to be served”. Father in his sermon highlighted how we need to understand the child’s need over our personal interest and to know the struggles they go through, recognizing the value of serving without expectation of reward and finding the fulfilment in making a positive impact on the child. After the mass each teacher was assign to a particular class wherein the students cut the cake and had a small get together, after which snacks were served and then teachers assembled in the hall at around 10:30 am for the award ceremony. During the award ceremony each teacher was felicitated for her performance with a trophy and a gift. Students showcased their talents through songs, dances and skit. The teacher’s day celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and appreciation between teachers, nonteaching staff and the students.

On the occasion of the Feast of St Claire of Assis On the occasion of the Feast of St Claire of Assisi, the teachers of the Yellow House organized two competitions: a slow cycling race and tangled threads - an embroidery designing competition - on Friday, 30th August 2024 during the last period. The following were the winners of the slow cycling race for both boys and girls categories: First Place : Blue House Second Place : Yellow House Third Place : Green House Fourth Place : Red House Likewise, the winners of the embroidery designing competition are as follows : First Place : Yellow House Second Place : Red House Third Place : Green House Fourth Place : Blue House The judges for the slow cycling race were Sir Erisa Faleiro and Mrs Deepali Raikar. For the embroidery designing competition, the judges were Mrs Angela Fernandes and Mrs Venecia Catul.

Megan Furtado and Achillies Rodrigues participated in Taekwondo State Level Tournament Organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth affairs on 29th August 2024 at Ponda Sports Complex. Megan Furtado Secured 1st place in above 68kg weight category and Achillies secured 2nd place in 73 -78 kg weight Category.

Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School hoste Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School hosted it’s first ever Inter Higher Secondary event named ‘Euphoria 2024’ on 24th August 2024. This event was held to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Blessed Mother Maria Clara. The event showcased several competitions, held both onstage and offstage. The Chief Guest for the day was Ms. Cecille Rodrigues, entrepreneur of encore. In all, 9 Higher Secondary Schools from the South of Goa participated in Euphoria. In total, there were 9 different competition which showcased the talents of youngsters. For securing the first five places in each competition points were awarded to contestants. The whole event was themed based on bollywood in the 80’s to 2000’s. It was a treat to the eyes as different Higher Secondary Schools Students displayed their talents at onstage and offstage events. The Events included: Onstage Events 1. Sounds of Nostalgia 2. Bollywood Bonanza Showdown 3. Groove Through the Decades Offstage Events 1. Filmy Frames 2. Memories in Motion 3. Retro Revival 4. Bollywood Extravaganza 5. Retro 6. Bollywood Retro Hair Affairs Damodar Higher Secondary School, Margao Comba managed to score the highest number of points at the end of the event and hence were declared as winners of Euphoria 2024. They were awarded the rolling trophy, which was specially designed by the organizing committee of Euphoria.

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with grea The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at PCHSS. The program commenced with a solemn prayer service, seeking the blessings and guidance of Our Lady of Assumption, whose feast was also celebrated on this special day. The chief guest, Mr. Nagraj Kambli, had the honor of hoisting the Indian National Flag. As the Tricolor unfurled, the crowd stood in respect, their hearts filled with pride and gratitude for the freedom fighters who made this day possible. The students then showcased their talents and expressed their love for the nation through various performances. They delivered heartfelt speeches, sharing their thoughts on the significance of Independence Day. Their words were powerful reminders of the sacrifices made and the responsibility that comes with freedom. The cultural program continued with vibrant dances, reflecting the diversity and unity of India. A special "gajjar" with a candle procession was also held, symbolizing the light of freedom that continues to guide the nation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Tr. Kalpana Chandelkar, who expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the program. Special appreciation was given to the Independence Day committee, comprising Mrs. Rajashree Thakur, Mrs. Snehal Shet Verenkar, Mrs. Rita Dmello, and Mrs. Carmina Alvez, for their dedication in organizing the event.

Vanamahotsav Celebration at Presentation Convent H Vanamahotsav Celebration at Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School on July 6, 2024 The students and staff of PCHSS had a wonderful time celebrating Vanamahotsav, organized by the Red House - Fr. Raimundo Dos Anjos Beirao. Here are some of the highlights: Kitchen Garden: Students planted a variety of vegetable plants in the school premises. Plantation of Saplings: Students and teachers together planted saplings around the school ground, greening our space. Paddy Field Cultivation: Selected students and teachers, along with our principal, experienced paddy cultivation in nearby fields. Traditional Craft Making: Students created utilitarian items from coconut, banana, and other leaves. Talk by Shri Ramkrishna Gaude: The secretary of Green Army Foundation Goa shared his expertise on making various items from coconut leaves. Celebration Highlights of Sao Joao Festival at Pre Celebration Highlights of Sao Joao Festival at Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School! On June 24, 2024, we kicked off our vibrant São João festival with a joyous procession led by Sr. Principal, cabinet members, and the São João committee, who entered with pidde, traditional sweets, and seasonal fruits. The Principal officially opened the festival by hitting the pirado (petiole) on the ground. Our celebration was filled with lively on-stage and off-stage competitions. The on-stage events featured Konkani music played with traditional instruments and a personification of St. John the Baptist. Off-stage, we had contests for traditional sweet platters, corner decorations, umbrella painting, and artifact decoration. Students and house teachers showed amazing spirit and creativity throughout the competitions. The day ended with everyone dancing together in pure joy. Congratulations to the Green House for winning the celebration and to the Yellow House for being the runners-up!
